At Unbox Your Party, we are on the hunt for someone who not only thinks OUTSIDE of the box, is creative, AND loves social media, but also has a knack for problem solving, keeping the momentum going, is dependable, responsible, and has thirst of coming up with unique ideas and creations for party decor. 


We are searching for a stellar Store Manager to run our Unbox Your Party store. 


Job Title: Store Manager
Job Type: Permanent, full time 
Wednesdays to Sundays, during UYP store hours 


As our Store Manager, here is what you’ll be in charge of: 
Sales & Marketing
  • Product Knowledge and Sales
    • Provide knowledgeable recommendations on products, design, colour and party decor ideas that UYP can execute 
    • Review monthly product sales and provide recommendations on inventory re-stock based on high performing sales 
    • Add new products to the website and organize for visibility in the correct collections
    • Ensuring proper labeling, pricing, and signage; execute promotional pricing if needed
  • Order Fulfillment: log and maintain orders; fulfill orders (balloons, decor, gifts) in time and with high attention to detail, providing unparalleled service, quality, while adding the ‘finer touches’ that distinguish UYP from its competitors 

  • Work closely with the marketing team to develop  strategies to further growth in sales and other revenue-generating opportunities 

Social Media 

  • Grow and foster UYP’s social media accounts, through daily social media storytelling posts that  featuring UYPs latest products, educate customers on our products and/or the possible creations to be had, and create new, unique and engaging content that pulls from the latest social media trends, party decor world and local community.

  • Monitor UYPs social media accounts and provide timely, engaging responses to customer’s comments, responses, and DMs; 

  • Look up trends, analyze channel growth and most engaging content (owned and competitor) for content creation and channel growth opportunities.  

Store & Visual Display 

  • Design and update storefront displays as needed; re-merchandise  inside of store with new inventory and creative displays 

  • Order and receive inventory while maintaining a clean and welcoming store

Customer & Vendor Relations 

  • Customer Relations: develop strong relationships with new and repeat customers; 

  • Assist customers with in-store and over-the-phone orders and questions 

  • Provide fast and friendly customer service, handle any/all customer complaints and/or inquiries in a professional and timely manner

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors. Search for the latest party supplies and trends on the market and source out new, competitive vendors as needed. 

  • Connect with event planners, party and event spaces, and other like-minded businesses to develop partnership and identify new revenue opportunities

Store Management & Administration 

  • Daily Administration: open/close store, and associated duties; 

  • Respond to emails, phone calls and voicemails in a timely and professional manner; 

  • Invoice clients using in-house software

  • Perform shop maintenance including but not limited to taking out garbage, sweeping, cleaning balloon desk countertop and storage, maintaining stock room etc.

  • Deliver local orders and travel for event set ups and tear downs, as needed 

  • Ensuring all safety measures are properly intact, maintained and used to prevent accidents

  • Other duties as assigned



All party decor enthusiasts PLEASE apply, but first we ask you review our brief list of requirements to see if you are the RIGHT one. This way, we’ll find YOU, the ideal UYP store manager, perfectly suited for our little party decor shop! 

  • You have previous retail experience, preferably in a party store, lifestyle products store, or something similar; previous management/supervisor experience is preferred 

  • You  have previous experience (personal or professional) putting together balloon arrangements, and setting up party decor, AND are still willing to learn about new balloon creations and events 

  • You are a leader at heart and can motivate and inspire a team of retail associates to thrive in their roles

  • You have  excellent organizational skills and can manage effortlessly inventory and merchandise displays 

  • You have knowledge of payroll processes and are able manage staff schedules effectively

  • You have a deep passion for social media storytelling and are able to create engaging, fun, quality, on-brand content (videos, reels, photos) and post daily to Instagram and weekly to Facebook; Canva/Photoshop experience is HIGHLY favorable  

  • You know your way around updating a Shopify website and Square site 

  • You are highly personable with others! You love talking to customers, have a  positive, uplifting vibe and show up to work each day excited about what you do. 

  • You are obsessed with providing impeccable customer service and simply love making them happy 

  • You take initiative and work well under pressure with minimal supervision. You thrive being highly efficient, aka - getting things done! 

  • You are equally passionate about reports and data to see/analyze sales, website traffic, product inventory, social metrics, etc - so you can make informed recommendations for potential growth 

  • You are a high achiever, love setting sales goals and achieving them. You’re always thinking of creative ways to increase traffic, orders, sales, and simply make UYP THE place to go for all party decor and balloon arrangements in Toronto. 

  • You have a valid driver's license AND own/have access to a vehicle, and are  able to make local deliveries.
